FONDA – A?Johnstown man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated on Tuesday after a computer check showed he had a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years, the state police at Fonda reported.
Gerald L. Emden, 52, was stopped by troopers in Fonda for a broken driver’s-side tail lamp and for having no working plate lamp, according to a news release from the state police.
Emden was found to be intoxicated and refused a breath test, police said.
He was arraigned in Village Court and sent to the Montgomery County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond, police said.
