Man’s case delayed until?Monday

GLOVERSVILLE – The Speculator man who allegedly threatened to shoot up Gloversville High School “Columbine style” and sent intimate pictures to a student briefly appeared in City Court on Monday.

Trevor Blanchard, 24, of 104 Stanyon Park Drive, Speculator – who was charged Wednesday with making terrorist threats and disseminating indecent materials to minors, both felonies – had his case adjourned until next Monday.

Blanchard was briefly represented by attorney Heidi Gifford before being assigned Mike Sutton, of Albany, to represent him.

Since Sutton was unable to attend the appearance, the case was adjourned until Monday.

Police said Blanchard’s threats were relayed to a female GHS student via Snapchat, a social media platform that allows people to send photos and text through mobile phones.

Authorities said Blanchard and the girl did not know each other.

Police also said Blanchard sent images of intimate adult male parts to the girl and requested she send nude images of herself back to him.
