Owens plans telephone talk

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, will speak to constituents during a live telephone town hall meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

“The call is part of the congressman’s continued efforts to connect with constituents across the more than 16,000 square miles of New York’s 21st Congressional District,” according to a news release. “Congressman Owens will give a short update on events in Washington and then take live questions from constituents.”

A random sample of residents from every county in New York’s 21st Congressional District will receive an invitation by telephone to participate in the hourlong conference call. Additionally, anyone from the 21st District can request an invitation in the follow ways:
