JOHNSTOWN – The city will hold its inaugural Harvest Festival on Oct. 26 from noon to 3 p.m., featuring a Chili Cook-off.
People interested in entering the Chili Cook-off are asked to register using the form on the city’s website – www.cityofjohnstown.ny.gov (search for “Harvest Festival”) – or the Johnstown Harvest Festival Facebook page; hard copies are available at City Hall and the Johnstown Public Library.
Chamber Check prizes, courtesy of Euphrates Cheese, will be awarded for first and second place and People’s Choice winners, and samples will be available to the public from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
The festival also will feature a children’s Halloween parade, haywagon rides, face painting, music, arts and crafts stations, and safety presentations by the city Police and Fire Departments.
The event will be free and open to the public.
