Liberty CEO leaving agency

AMSTERDAM – Liberty officials recently announced Mike Decker, Liberty’s chief executive officer, will leave to accept a position with AHRC New York City in early January, a news release said.

Mike Decker became Liberty’s second CEO in January 2012. Decker has been an administrator at Liberty since 1989, serving as chief operating officer from 2007 until serving in his current role.

“I’m very fortunate to have served Liberty’s important mission over the past 24 years,” Decker said in the release.

Ken Adamowski, president of Liberty’s Board of Directors, indicated the search process to fill the position of CEO has been initiated.

Liberty is Montgomery County’s primary provider of services for adults with developmental disabilities. AHRC New York City is a NYSARC chapter, like Liberty, serving individuals in New York City’s five boroughs.
