ST. JOHNSVILLE – An Oppenheim man was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated after a lane violation on Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Justin Lee Debell, 21, of 6166 Route 29, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony, DWI, aggravated DWI with a blood-alcohol content at or above 0.18 percent and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
He was also charged with having an uninspected motor vehicle, driving across hazardous markings and refusal to submit to a pre-screening test, the Sheriff’s Department said.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Debell was stopped near the Cumberland Farms in St. Johnsville after he committed a lane violation and later failed a standardized field sobriety test.
He was also found to have a revoked drivers license because of a prior incident of driving while ability impaired by alcohol, authorities said.
Debell was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
He is to reappear in Town Court in December.
