JOHNSTOWN – Fulton-Montgomery Community College’s student activities board and the American Red Cross are teaming up to sponsor a blood drive Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the large lounge of the College’s Student Union.
Blood donations equal scholarship money for a returning FM student who works at the drive, donates blood, or both, the news release said.
Donating blood is safe, simple and takes about 45 to 90 minutes. Supplies are sterile, used only once and then incinerated, the news release said.
To make an appointment to give blood on Tuesday, call FMCC at 736-3622, Ext. 8131 or call the American Red Cross at (800) GIVE-LIFE or visit its website at www.redcrossblood.org.
According to the release, donating blood is simple and your gift of life may help as many as three people.
