The Gloversville Police Department is asking for the public to help identify a person who was involved in an attempted robbery Friday at a business. A photo from the department’s Facebook page shows the person at around 3:30 p.m. inside Jan Smokes and Deli, at the corner of Orchard and West Fulton streets, police said. Police also posted a video to the page that appears to show the person walk into the store, talk to a man behind the counter for less than a minute, then walk away. Capt. Mike Jory said Friday evening no more information about the incident was being released at that time. Police said Anyone with information can contact the department online or Jory at 857-4489.
