Applications sought for county services

FONDA – The Montgomery County Department of Youth, Alternatives to Incarceration & Veterans Services is accepting applications from community-based non-profit organizations, public agencies and municipalities who provide direct services to the youth of Montgomery County during this year, a news release said.

The funds are expected to be available through the New York state Office of Children and Family Services Bureau of Youth Development, contingent upon the passing of the New York state budget. Eligible programs must provide community-level direct services designed to promote positive youth development and respond to locally identified youth needs in Montgomery County, according to the news release.

These funds are available on a competitive basis, and must be used for the delivery of services between Jan. 1, and Dec. 31, of this year, the news release said.

All completed applications are due to the Montgomery County Youth Bureau no later than 4 p.m. April 15, the news release said.

To request an application, e-mail Youth Bureau Executive Director Brenda Rava at [email protected] or call the Montgomery County Youth, ATI and veterans’ Services office at 853-4355 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, the news release said.
