AMSTERDAM – A free beekeeping workshop will be held on Feb. 27 at the Florida town hall, 214 Fort Hunter Road.
The speaker will be Jack Rath, co-owner of the Betterbee. Topics to be presented will be the importance of honeybees; the life of the colony; beekeeping equipment; selection of a location; obtaining bees; working with bees, followed by a round table discussison with 3B Farm and Rulison’s Honey Farm, a news release said.

The program will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and lunch will be provided.
