AMSTERDAM – The Montgomery County Office for Aging, Inc. is holding their annual recipe contest, a news release said. Submit favorite recipes, nothing too complicated, please, the release said, to its office no later than March 16, in person or by mail, to: MCOFA, Attn. Tracy, 135 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY, 12010. The OFA will select its top 10 favorites to be prepared by its culinary staff at a cocktail reception held at the Century Club, 130 Guy Park Avenue on April 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the release said.
Wolf Hollow Brewing Company will provide craft beer tastings and beer will also be available for purchase by the glass. Entertainment will be provided by Peter Capobianco.
Samples of each recipe will be available for tasting and participants can cast a vote for their favorites. Winners will be selected that evening for each of the following categories: entre, appetizer/side dish and dessert and the winners will receive $50 gift cards to Price Chopper or Stewart’s, the release said.

Tickets are $10 each and will be available for purchase at the OFA office after Feb.22. Each ticket is redeemable for one complimentary beverage and tastings of all 10 recipes.
