Man accused of shooting bull

MOHAWK – A town man is facing felony charges after he shot a bull that wandered onto his property, according to Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies.

Robert W. Rusnica, 29, of 179 England Road, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief Friday.

Deputies said Rusnica shot a bull with a 30-30 rifle after it wandered onto his property. The bull – which had a gunshot wound to its head – was later located in its owner’s pasture. The bull had to be killed as a result of the injuries it sustained, deputies said.

Rusnica was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Fulton County jail on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.
