Sex offender charged by police

GLOVERSVILLE – A city man is facing a felony charge after he did not report a social media account he opened as required by his sex-offender status, city police said.

William I. Warner III, 46, of 18 Oakland Ave., was charged with failure to register an Internet account within 10 days on April 21.

Police said Warner is required to register his Internet accounts with local law enforcement. It was discovered Warner had been using an unregistered Facebook account, police said.

Warner was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail, due to two previous felony convictions.
