Library announces two fundraisers

NORTHVILLE – The Friends of the Northville Public Library have announced the dates for its two annual fundraisers, a news release said.

The mammoth book sale will be held in the library’s parking lot at 341 S. Third St. June 30 through July 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the release said.

An early-bird selection will be held on the first day from 9 to 10 a.m., with an entrance fee of $3, the release said.

The book sale has thousands of books, DVDs, and audios sorted into categories, subjects and genres, according to the release. Typical prices include $2 for hardcovers and $1 for paperbacks, the news release said.

The annual ice cream social and raffle will take place on Saturday, July 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the library gardens overlooking the Great Sacandaga Lake, the release said.

Homemade cake, ice cream and a beverage will be available for $3 adults, $2 for younger than 12.

According to the release, music in the gazebo will accompany the social and the raffle of more than 40 prizes will start at 8 p.m., the release said.
