GLOVERSVILLE -The Sacandaga Protection Committee has announced the winners of its $10,000 raffle, proceeds of which will support the group’s work in protecting the environmental, economic and legal interests of the Great Sacandaga Lake community.
“This was our first raffle, and we are so pleased with its results,” Joe Sullivan, president, SPC?board of directors, said. “The project would not have been possible without the support of the ticket-buyers, the businesses that sold tickets, Sport Island Pub, and the countless other volunteers who made it all happen.”
There were 286 tickets sold. Winners are:
Grand prize: $10,000: Joanna Olsen
2nd prize: $2,500, Ron Royal, Wells
3rd prize: $1,000, Doris Johnson, North Port, Fla., and Fish House
4th prize: $500, Todd Plemenick
Ten $100 winners: Fred Brown, Alexandria, Va., Brent Zierak, Amsterdam, John G. Ward, Hadley; Anne Wood, Hadley; Dave Ruzbasan, Rhineeck; Jen Brownell, Gloversville; Josh Barnes, Delanson; Brandon Ferguson, Galway; Peter Murphy, Hadley; employees of Sport Island Pub, Northville.
Tickets were sold at Partner’s Pub in Johnstown, Kingsboro Lumber in Gloversville, Mayfield Grill, Brownell Lumber and Captain Nauti’s in the Town of Day, and the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce, Gloversville.
