SUNY celebrates incoming class

CANTON – Nearly 700 first-time fulltime freshmen began their studies at SUNY Canton for the fall 2016 semester.

“Our newest students are now actively engaged in their classes and everyone is commenting on what a wonderful addition they are to our campus,” said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran in a press release. “We are all very glad that they chose SUNY Canton.”

Among those students who recently began their SUNY Canton education are:

June M. Mosher, a SUNY Canton individual studies major from Fort Plain. Mosher is a graduate of Little Falls Jr-Sr High School.

Soren T. Shirley, a SUNY Canton undeclared major from Fort Plain, is a 2016 graduate of Fort Plain Central School.

Zoe Holland, a SUNY Canton accounting major from Gloversville, is a 2016 graduate of Gloversville High School.

Kain Wilder, a SUNY Canton sports management major from Gloversville, is a 2016 graduate of Mayfield High School.

Addison C. Nellis, a SUNY Canton undeclared major from Johnstown, is a 2016 graduate of Johnstown High School.

Samantha Heffernan, a SUNY Canton funeral services administration major from Saint Johnsville, is a 2016 graduate of Little Falls Jr-Sr High School.
