CANAJOHARIE — Court Catherine Esther #1264, the Catholic Daughters Court, is spearheading a drive to collect needed items for our wounded military and veterans, according to a news release.
The collection will be sent to a representative of the Soldiers’ Angels organization at the VA Medical Center in Albany and packed into hygiene kits and sack lunches, which will be distributed to wounded warriors and veterans. Some of the items will also be used to stock the VA Snack bar.
Collection boxes have been placed in the lobbies of the NBT banks in Fort Plain & Patriots Bank in Canajoharie and at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain. The deadline for this endeavor is December 1.
The court is also asking for monetary donations to purchase Care Packages for our Deployed Soldiers. Checks should be made out to “CDA Court #1264” and mailed to Debra DiVisconti, Treasurer, 28 Abeling Street, Canajoharie, NY, 13317.
