Local Democrats meeting Thursday

GLOVERSVILLE — Future Democratic candidates for local offices have been invited to the Fulton County Democratic Committee meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The committee is looking to fill some of the 76 offices up for election across the county. These include county clerk and county treasurer, and the mayors of both cities. Most of the supervisor positions in the 10 towns expire at the end of 2017.

Gloversville Common Council: councilman-at-large, and Wards 1, 3 and 5.

Johnstown: city treasurer.

The meeting is open to all enrolled Democrats in the county.

County Democratic Chairman Ed Jasewicz has invited everyone interested in running to attend the meeting.
