Airman graduates basic training


SAN ANTONIO, TX. — U.S. Air Force Airman Elizabeth J. Pinkerton graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Pinkerton is the daughter of Jennifer Wilkins and step-daughter of Don Wilkins of Edinburg, granddaughter of Ida Pinkerton of Schenectady, and Christine Shoemaker of Edinburg, niece of Karleen and Robert Hale of Ballston Spa, and sister of Kiera Pinkerton of Jacksonville, Fla. She is also the sister of Robert Pinkerton.

The airman graduated in 2016 from Northville Central School.
