Board expected to award bids at special meeting

JOHNSTOWN — Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education members are expected to award over $20 million in capital project bids at a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnstown High School.

District engineering firm CSArch of Albany on March 7 opened $22.6 million worth of low bids for the district’s last major phase of capital project work to be completed during the next couple of years. Five sets of bids were opened, with the same Albany County construction firm landing two major general construction low bids.

In other business Wednesday, the board is slated to make a few personnel appointments, approve warrants and treasurer reports, and take comments from the public.
