Residents to fill board seats sought

MAYFIELD — The Mayfield Central School District is seeking qualified residents for a seat on the Board of Education. Interested persons must file a petition for nomination, which must be signed by at least 30 qualified voters of the district.

Petitions may be obtained in the district office at the high school and must be returned no later than April 17.

Candidates must be a qualified voter of the district and must have resided in the district for at least one year prior to their election.

One five-year term is available. The five-year seat is currently occupied by Kevin Copobianco and will become vacant as of June 30.

The elction will be held May 16 from noon until 8 p.m. in the high school gym lobby.
