Basket-weaving workshop June 10

GLOVERSVILLE — Sandy Salada will present a rustic berry basket weaving workshop from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 10 in the teaching kitchen at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30.

According to a news release, the rustic berry basket is made from smoked reed with colored accents and Shaker Tape handles.

The rustic color mimics a weathered barn next to the berry patch. With a decorative lattice bottom, the basket will easily hold two quarts of a person’s favorite berries.

Bring a bagged lunch and drink.

The cost is $30 plus $25 for materials due to Salada the day of the class.

Choice of color accent: red or blue (select at registration). No prior weaving experience is needed. Suitable for ages 14 and up.
