JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will hold New York state boater safety courses this month.
The courses will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The courses are free to the public and are required for anyone born after May 1, 1996, who want to operate a boat and any person regardless of age who wants to operate a personal watercraft.
Students must be at least 10 years old on the date of the course, must attend all eight hours (both dates) of instruction and pass the written exam.
This will be the last course offered by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office this year.
The course will be held at the Fulton County Emergency Operations Center at 2712 Route 29.
