MAYFIELD — Starting July 2, Mayfield Presbyterian Church’s Sunday worship time will change to 9 a.m.
An “old-fashioned hymn-sing” will begin the summer services for 15 minutes followed by worship.
The time change will remain in effect until Sept. 10, when the service will return to fall hours and begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Rev. Bonnie Orth, pastor of the church, is joined this summer by intern and Princeton student the Rev. Victor Doe, who comes from Liberia, a news release said.
Events are planned for the church in celebration of its 225 anniversary.
On July 9, some of the letters that were sent from service members during World War II to the Young Crusaders Sunday School class taught by longtime church member Albert Niles will be shared.
In addition, on July 21, Hitrick & Brooks will perform music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
All services are open to the public. The church is handicapped-accessible and air-conditioned.
