GLOVERSVILLE — The Gloversville High School class of 1977 held its 40th reunion at the Concordia Club in Gloversville on Saturday.
The 135 guests, including 90 classmates, attended the weekend events, which included a golf outing at Fox Run Golf Course last Friday morning, an informal gathering Friday night at the Holiday Inn, a tree dedication and a tour of Gloversville High School. The reunion festivities took place Saturday and a day at the Saratoga Race Course on Sunday.
Classmates in attendance traveled from Texas, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Florida, California, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Maine, Virginia, Nevada and North Carolina.
Prizes were given to the following classmates: first classmate to respond for the reunion—Martin Finkle; last classmate to respond for the reunion—Lori Ambrosino Rooney; classmates who traveled the farthest—Catherine Curtis, Mark Steenburg, Timothy Szumowski and Michael Mackey, all from California.
Music was provided by Twisted Tunes, and the Hot Dog Hut provided the food.
Committee members were Todd Mercer, Jamie Quinn, Mary Lou Heimer-Hoag, Cathy Sommella–Cole, Kathy Masaitis-VanNostrand, Mike Valachovic, Pierre VanDenabeele, Ralph Stewart and Brian Seeley.
