HERKIMER — Four area students have graduated and received awards from the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES adult practical nurse program.
They are Jessica Freeze and Rachel Pakenas, both of Canajoharie; Jose Alvarado of St. Johnsville; and Gerricka Fahy of Fort Plain.
Freese was tied for the highest average in fundamentals of nursing award for a full-time student. Alvarado received the highest average in maternal child health award for a part-time day student. Fahy was given the best clinical nurse award for a part-time evening student. Pakenas got the Florence Nightingale award for a part-time evening student.
Alvarado gave the farewell address for the part-time day class.
