GALWAY — The Galway Lions Club is hosting a Thank-You Party in celebration of the community’s 35 years of support on July 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Galway Lions Building, 2167 County Highway.
The event is free and open to the entire community, both children and adults.
There will be soccer, volleyball, Frisbee toss, softball, face painting, a demonstration by the Galway Karate Club, a visit from a friendly therapy dog, live music and food.
The Galway Lions are a not-for-profit volunteer organization supporting, through service and fundraising, projects that strengthen the Galway community, including: donations to local fire departments; donations to the Galway Food Pantry; awarding student scholarships and awards and providing assistance and equipment for people with visual and hearing impairments, plus a host of other community projects.
