Essential oils class slated

GLOVERSVILLE — Heather Mattioni will teach the values of essential oils and how to make them from 10 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 12 in the cafe at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30.

In the first half of the workshop, she will teach about essential oils and their benefits—where they come from, how they are made, and how they work with the human body. In the second half, participants will make their own scents.

Mattioni will being all of the supplies necessary to make therapeutic essential oil roll-ons. participants can as many as they want, while supplies last. The class includes one free roll-on, but each additional roll-on is $2. Mattioni will also bring supplies for raw sugar scrubs, so participants can choose their own scent for $4 each.

The cost will be $15 per person or 1 gift certificate, minus a 20 percent member discount.
