GLOVERSVILLE — Mountain Valley Hospice will host public smoking cessation classes to promote health and wellness in 2018, starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Nancy Dowd Hospice Home and hospice offices, 108 Steele Ave.
The program will continue on seven consecutive Tuesdays, Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6, 13, 20, at the same time and place.
The Butt Stops Here curriculum includes nicotine replacement therapy gum or patches, workbook, relaxation CD, and related materials. The price to attend the course is $45 per person or $20 with a Medicaid card. MVH will cover the cost of the facilitator.

Founded in 1988 as a not-for-profit, Mountain Valley Hospice serves patients and families in Fulton, Montgomery, Hamilton and Saratoga counties. The hospice is a stand-alone, eight-bed inpatient unit housed in an Adirondack-style home. Built with private funds 12 years ago, the Nancy Dowd Hospice Home is a testimony to community partnerships with long-lasting benefit.
