JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County YMCA will be offering the American Safety and Health Institute child and babysitting safety course from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7, to prepare youths ages 11 to 15 years to be capable and confident babysitters. The course teaches participants how to build a safe an successful babysitting business of their own, according to a news release.
The highlights of the course include, basic caregiving, leadership, safety, prevention and problem solving along with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Basic First Aid. The participants should bring a lunch of their own. The fee is $75. The enrollment is open to all. Visit the Fulton County YMCA, Harrison Street, to sign-up by April 4, the news release stated.
