Fulton and Montgomery county artists and community arts organization have received 2018 arts grants from Saratoga Arts, according to a news release.
They are as follows:
∫ $4,382 — Amsterdam Waterfront Foundation, Riverlink Summer Series 2018.
∫ $3,000 — Caroga Arts Collective, Caroga, for Caroga Lake Music Festival 2018 and Summer Student String Project.
∫ $2,000 — City of Amsterdam — the Amsterdam Oratorio by Maria Riccio Bryce.
∫ $4,382 — Colonial Little Theatre, Johnstown, 2018 theatre series.
∫ $2,020 — Friends of Fort Plain, Fort Plain, the Future of the Erie Canal in Fort Plain.
∫ $3,857 — Friends of Schoharie Crossing, Fort Hunter, Not Just for Kids storytelling series.
∫ $2,020 — Fulton County YMCA, with artist Allyson Kaczmarek, Johnstown, Brown’s Raid, a historical musical.
∫ $3,000 — Glen Conservancy, Fultonville, Glen Conservancy community concert series.
∫ $2,500 — Gloversville Business Improvement District, Gloversville, Music at the Chamber.
∫ $2,000 — Gloversville Citizens Band, Gloversville, Summer Band Concerts in the Park.
∫ $1,500 — Johnstown Citizen’s Band, Johnstown, Johnstown Midsummer Concert Series.
∫ $2,000 — Kanatsiohareke Fonda, second annual Haudenosaunee Film Festival.
∫ $2,500 — Lexington Foundation, Johnstown, Fulton-Montgomery County Art Show.
∫ $2,500 — Mohawk Valley Chorus, Amsterdam, Rutter’s Requiem.
∫ $3,857 — Music on Mainstreet, Canajoharie, Music on Mainstreet Summer Concert Series 2018.
∫ $4,382 — Sacandaga Valley Arts Network, Northville, Sacandaga Live: A Celebration of Music in 2018.
∫ $2,500 — Philip Spaeth, Northville, Adirondack Sketches: Traditional ADK Instruments in Concert Music Artist Grant.
∫ $2,000 — Village of St. Johnsville, Concerts in the Park.
According to the release, 35 grants totaling $103,800 have been awarded to support community-based arts events taking place in 2018 in Fulton, Montgomery and saratoga counties.
This year’s grant-funded recipients and their funded projects offer the community year-round opportunities to experience a wide array of free or low-cost artistic events highlighting talented local and regional artists, the release stated. An estimated 34,000-plus community members, 6,000-plus youth, and 800-plus artists will directly participate in these grant-funded events occurring throughout 2018.
