Fire company holds meeting

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Kennyetto Fire Co., 14 Pine St., recently held its regular meeting with President Sean Knabner presiding and 30 members present, according to a news release.

In the month of March, the fire company responded to: 19 calls; two structure fires; one cooking fire; one chimney fire; one medical assist; two motor vehicle accidents with injuries; one motor vehicle accident with no injuries; one ice rescue; one vehicle accident cleanup; one water evacuation; one good intent; three canceled en route; two false alarms; and two smoke detector activation, the news release stated.

The fire company’s annual Brook’s barbecue will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. May 12. Eat in or take out will be available, the news release stated.

The next regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 14. New members are always welcome, the news release stated.
