FONDA — The first in a workshop series on revitalizing Haudenosaunee food sovereignty from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community, 4934 Route 5.
The workshop will explain planning the Haudenosaunee garden and introductions to food security, including issues in food sovereignty, discussions preplanning the Kanatsiohareke garden, and some hands-on garden bed preparation and planting (weather permitting).
Participants should bring their own lunch or a dish to share.
Suggested sliding scale donation: $10 to $25. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
