FORT PLAIN — The Fort Plain Free Library, 19 Willett St., will host its first free and informal gathering for stamp lovers of all ages and experience levels from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 26, according to a news release.
Keith Seeber, a local member of the American Philatelic Society and a lifelong stamp collector, will facilitate the get-togethers. Each drop-in session will take place in the library’s local history room on the fourth Thursday of each month, the news release stated.
The participants are invited to bring their stamps, stamp-related questions, post cards, “covers,” and the like. Seeber said there will be no formal programs, but members of the local club can occasionally bring their own collections of stamps or other pieces of collectible mail, the news release stated.
Participants of all ages are welcome. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult, the news release stated.
