JOHNSTOWN — The universal prekindergarten program in the Johnstown School District is accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year.
Residents of the school district have until May 31 to register their children to be eligible for the UPK lottery. Registrations after the May 31 date will continue to be accepted, but student placement may be limited. All prekindergarten classes will be held at Pleasant Avenue School for the 2018-19 school year.
The UPK program is for children who will be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2018.The Greater Johnstown School District’s program addresses instructional components, cognitive skills, social and emotional development, and the physical skills of children. The program follows the Johnstown school district calendar, with morning and afternoon sessions.
