JOHNSTOWN — The HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, has a new program, Healthy Cooking Classes, and will be starting from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at their wellness center, 2 Colonial Court, according to a news release.
The classes are for anyone responsible for preparing meals for children younger than age 19. Those attending will learn how to plan, buy and prepare nutritious foods in new recipes for kids to eat with less sugar, salt and fat. These interactive cooking lessons will include demonstrations and tastings, the news release stated.
This free program is open to the public. The series of classes will meet every Friday through June 15. The space is limited. To attend, call HealthLink Littauer at (518) 736-1120, the news release stated.
