Ice cream social planned at museum

GLOVERSVILLE — The Fulton County Historical Society and Museum will be hosting an ice cream social on May 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature ice cream and sweet treats along with music by Gary VanSlyke.

This is event is the opportunity to socialize and get to know the museum better.

The cost for the event is $3.50. For more information, call the museum at (518)725-2203.

The museum will be open for self guided tours during this event, so be prepared to check out the rooms of displays of things such as military history, sports, glove making, trains, weaving and spinning, Native American and area history.

The museum is located at 237 Kingsboro Ave.
