Mayfield Church to host quilt show

MAYFIELD — The Mayfield Presbyterian Church announced Sue Schoch as the featured artist for the 23rd Annual Quilt Show that will be held at the church on June 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. and June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Schoch is a local quilter whose long-arm quilting is beautiful and well-known around the area. She will present a special program on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. that will include a trunk show and a discussion about designing quilting for quilts. Many of her quilts will be on display for the entire show.

Friday admission is $5 which includes the program and $3 on Saturday. Baked goods and lunch specials will be offered on Saturday. Quilt related vendors will “set up shop”. Kathryn Greenwold will be available do appraise quilts by appointment. Viewer’s Choice votes will determine the winner in three categories: Large Quilt, Small Quilt, “Red, White and Blue” challenge quilt.

The church which is located at 22 N. Main St., is air conditioned and handicap accessible.
