JOHNSTOWN — The financial aid office of Fulton-Montgomery Community College has scheduled October advice sessions in area school districts to help students through the financial aid process for the 2019-20 academic year.
The office will assist students in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the Tuition Assistance Program application and Excelsior Scholarship application.
The schedule is as follows:

∫ Broadalbin-Perth High School, Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Fonda-Fultonville High School, Oct. 9, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Fort Plain High School, Oct. 10, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Galway High School, Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Northville High School, Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Wells High School, Oct. 23, 6 p.m.
∫ Canajoharie High School, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m.
∫ OESJ High School, Oct. 25, 6:30 p.m.
∫ Amsterdam High School, Oct. 30, 6 p.m.
∫ Gloversville High School, Nov. 1, 6 p.m.
Presentations will cover sources, types and specific awards for federal, state and institutional financial aid. The groups will then move to the computer labs to help students and parents file the forms necessary for the student to receive aid for the 2019-20 academic year. Items necessary to complete the applications are 2017 federal and state tax returns, W-2s, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and a valid email address.
Nov. 17 is FM’s fall open house will offer an opportunity to ask any questions about financial aid and the admissions process.
