Spaghetti dinner fundraiser Oct. 13

LASSELLSVILLE — The Western Fulton County Seniors meeting of Sept. 10, was called to order by President Angela Hill, with the Pledge of Allegiance and recitation of “The Lord’s Prayer.” The reports of the secretary and treasurer were read and passed with all in favor.

The Fulton County Office for Aging gave an informational discussion on the 2018 Home Energy Assistance Program guidelines and the changes in Medicare for 2019.

Sept. 24: Second monthly meeting at the center.

Oct. 13 : Spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the center, 4 to 7 p.m.

Oct. 22: Potluck luncheon at the center with the Bannertown Seniors.

Nov. 20: Thanksgiving homemade pie sale fundraiser at the center, starts at noon. To reserve a pie, call Hill or choose from the selection at the fundraiser.

Nov. 29: Luncheon for Oppenheim and Stratford seniors at the center.

Dec. 5: Five to six hour driver’s course at the center. Call Angela Hill at (518) 993-5357 for a necessary pre-signup.

Dec. 7: Snow day for Oppenheim and Stratford luncheon.

Dec. 10: Cookie swap at the center.

On Aug. 21, the group had a joint picnic with their friends, the Mayfield Bannertown Seniors at the Glenn Harris pavilion, Caroga Lake.

A discussion took place regarding pipe and siding insulation on the building, which will be finalized before the cold weather sets in.

The 50-50 raffle was won by Linda Christman; and the two raffles were won by Barb Carpenter and Jane Lasher.

Anyone interested in attending the regular second Monday of each month noon potluck lunch and the semi-monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of each month is welcome at the Lassellsville Center, 5740 Route 29W.
