Supreme court to hold several cases

ALBANY —Presiding Justice Elizabeth A. Garry of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, will have a regular session of the Appellate Division at the Albany County Courthouse commencing at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Ceremonial Courtroom. The court will hear oral arguments in a variety of civil and criminal cases. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this session, according to a news release.

In addition to Garry, who is from Chenango County, the five-judge panel will include Justice William E. McCarthy, Justice John C. Egan Jr., Justice Michael C. Lynch, and Justice Eugene P. Devine, all of Albany County.

The Appellate Division, Third Department hears appeals from all trial level courts in the 28 counties within the court’s geographical jurisdiction. Included is the fourth Judicial District which includes Hamilton, Fulton and Montgomery counties.
