Turning Stone Casino trip set for Tuesday

GLOVERSVILLE — The Ida L. McGinnis Club meeting opened by President Jeannie McDuffie. The opening song, “America,” “The Lord’s Prayer” and the Pledge of Allegiance were led by McDuffie.

A moment of silence to honor the lives lost and heroes of 9/11 World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the plane brought down by passengers.

Hello to Neighbors took place. There were 40 in attendance.

Two new members were welcomed.

Helen Harvey played the keyboard.

The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read.

The May, June, July and August birthdays were celebrated. The winners were Kate VanAlstyne for May; Judy Cooper for June; Bob Crouse for July and Audrey Flint for August.

The 50-50 winners were Connie Conniff, June Parker, Betty Anderson and Marge Flint.

The Turning Stone trip is Tuesday. There is still time to reserve a seat by calling McDuffie at (518) 725-8396. The Turning Stone trip for next month will be Oct. 16, and McDuffie is also taking reservations for that trip.

The closing song was “Ain’t she Sweet.” The refreshments were served and bingo was played.
