AMSTERDAM — The city of Amsterdam will hold a tree lighting ceremony and festival from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook, 1 Bridge St.
The free event will include pictures with Santa, horse carriage rides, kids train rides, food, holiday music and other activities.
