JOHNSTOWN — Libby Post, a commentator and regular panelist on WAMC/Northeast Public Radio’s The Roundtable, will speak at the annual Women Democrats luncheon at Holiday Inn, Route 30A, at noon on Saturday.
Post is the president of Communications Services, a firm that specializes in libraries, health care, advocacy and electoral politics. She holds a master’s degree in political communications from the State University at Albany.
She is an adjunct professor at Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy where she teaches the course public communication: making policy easy to understand.
The Women Democrats luncheon marks the founding of the local organization in 2007. The organization was formed by a group of women who in November 2006 attended the first official observance of the state’s official Elizabeth Cady Stanton Day. Suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton was born here on Nov. 12, 1815.
