FONDA — The following events are for the Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School, according to a news release.
∫ From 10 a.m. to noon Saturday the school will hold a bottle drive in the elementary parking log. All proceeds will be donated to the Leatherstocking Honor Flight, which provides veterans with free trips to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials. The donation will be presented during the Veterans Day assembly. For those who can’t make it to the bottle drive, the Fultonville Redemption Center will also accept bottles from Nov. 1-6, — tell the associates the bottles are to benefit the Honor Flight.
∫ Nov. 9 all veterans, active service members and their families are invited to the elementary school’s annual Veterans Day celebration. They will be welcomed with refreshments in the middle school multi-purpose room starting at 12:30 p.m. They will then be escorted to the auditorium at 1 p.m. to be honored by students at the celebration. The planned performances are the bell choir, jazz ensemble I, and elementary performances.
