FORT PLAIN — The following are the events for December at the Fort Plain Free Library, 19 Willett St., according to a news release.
∫ From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the local history lovers meet. The group shares memories, family histories, vintage post cards, memorabilia and more during the local history round table. The free drop-in discussion group, the public forum is facilitated by the town and village historians.
∫ From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. each Thursday the creative textile fibers group meets. The event is free and open to the public. The participants meet to share tips, ideas, and patterns or work on their own fiber-based projects.
∫ From 3 to 5 p.m. the writers group meets each Thursday in the local history room at the library. This is a creative writing group made up of writers from varied writing backgrounds, interests, and objectives. The event is facilitated by Joan Caska, published writer. The forum is free and open to the public.
