Galway Lioness Club to hold monthly meal

GALWAY — The Galway Lioness Club of Lions District 20W will hold its monthly dinner meeting on Wednesday at the Galway Lions Club building on East Street.

Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Saratoga Springs Lion John McDonald, immediate past Lions president of Lions District 20-Y2 and current president of the board of Camp Abilities Saratoga of Lions District 20W.

Camp Abilities Saratoga is a one-week sports camp for blind, visually impaired and deaf/blind children to be held on the campus of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs. Camp Abilities Saratoga is a service project of the Saratoga Springs Lions Club.

A collection of nonperishable food items will be taken to benefit the food pantry of the Greater Galway Community Services Association.

The Lioness January board meeting will be held after the dinner meeting. Committee reports will be shared and the upcoming events will be discussed.
