George Washington symposium set

JOHNSTOWN — Fort Plain Museum will present the first annual George Washington’s Birthday Symposium from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, 2805 Route 67.

Four historians/authors will speak:

∫ Edward G. Lengel, “Setting the Example: George Washington’s Military Leadership.”

∫ Bruce Chadwick, “George & Martha.”

∫ William Larry Kidder, “George Washington’s Ten Crucial Days: Trenton and Princeton.”

∫ Norman J. Bollen, “George Washington and the Mohawk Frontier.”

Admission is $35 for advance registration, $40 at the door and a discounted rate for students of $20. The admission fee includes a lunch sandwich buffet and refreshment breaks. An author book signing will be offered with books available for purchase.
