Walleye ice fishing contest set for Feb. 9

BROADALBIN — The Fish House Fish and Game Club will have the Walleye ice fishing contest from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 9 on the Great Sacandaga Lake.

The weighing station, at the town of Providence parking area, will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entry fee is $25; the pre-entry fee is $20. The entry fee includes chili and coffee from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cash awards will be given to the top three places: For walleye, $500, $250, $100; for northern pike, $250, $150, $100; for perch, $250, $150; $100.
