Church to change hours for worship

BROADALBIN — The First Presbyterian Church of Broadalbin, 54 West Main Street, will be having a change in hours of worship for the summer. During the months of June, July, and August, the Sunday worship will begin at 9 a.m., according to a news release.

There will be no Sunday worship on July 21. Instead of Sunday worship, there will be a potluck and prayer service at 6 p.m. July 20. The congregation is encouraged to observe the Sabbath in meaningful ways on Sunday.

The other Sunday exception: The beach service on Aug. 25, a joint service with United Methodist Church, will be held at 10 a.m. at McMurray’s Campgrounds and Beach. In case of rain, it will be held at the First Presbyterian Church.

The regular worship hours will resume at 10 a.m. Sept. 1.
